We have recently created the latest image in continuation for Finland’s 2014 World Cup qualification campaign. Produced together with FLC (www.flchelsinki.com), the new image focuses on Alexander Ring with Jukka Raitala and Tim Sparv.
Off the back of a great 1-1 draw away to Spain, this Finnish team should take confidence into the upcoming games. The Spain game is already sold out but there are tickets available for the home game against Belarus on 7th June!

A new DAVID BOWIE album produced by Tony Visconti is coming out in March. For years, the fans throughout the world have secretly hoped for it to happen, and soon the wait is over.
The video for the first single came out without a warning and in just 4 weeks it got almost 2 million views in YouTube. The song itself is a bit melancholic, simultaneously looking into the past and the future. Classic Bowie stuff! The artist himself hasn´t given any interviews, but his producer Tony Visconti has this to say: “Bowie has found out what he wants to do. He wants to make records. Nothing else.” That’s all we want to hear!
But what the heck is that text in his T-shirt about? The text ”Song of Norway” started a debate in Norway instantly. Funnily enough, it might actually come from Finland if it refers to a certain ship. In 1970, the biggest cruise liner at the time, ”Song of Norway” was constructed in Helsinki, just about three kilometers from our office. Since then the ship has been a prominent sight across the seas for over four decades, nowadays sailing under the name of MV Ocean Pearl.
No new blog entries about our work? Well, that definitely doesn’t mean that we’ve been just lazing around!
Recently we have been working heavily on cases we cannot talk about. By no means, that doesn’t suggest that the projects would be somehow obscure nor our work wouldn’t bare daylight! Actually, we’ve been super happy about being involved in some very inspiring and substantial cases taking us to time zones far from Helsinki. But as said, right now that’s about all that we can say about it… our lips are sealed.
By the way, if you happen to have a project that for a reason or another needs higher sensitivity before – or also after – the launch, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. As a tightly knit group of highly committed senior level people we can offer a safe choice for that.
Touch office lies just a couple of blocks away from Kunsthalle Helsinki, ”the home of the living art” focusing on contemporary art, design and architecture. Luckily we managed to take one Friday afternoon off and took a walk to see the talk of the town: Tomás Saraceno’s exhibition in Taidehalli, as it is called in Finnish.
The concept of the exhibition is based on the hypothesis that the best way of illustrating the structure of the universe available to us at present is a three-dimensional spiderweb, such as that woven by the Black Widow. The exhibition features both real spiderwebs as well as a gigantic three-dimensional scale model of one, 14 Billions (Working Title).
The title, 14 Billions, is a reference to the universe, which got its start already 14 billion years ago. The piece is an exact 16:1 copy of a Black Widow’s web, the geometry of which was previously unknown. Saraceno’s works are linked to the human dream of a better world; they are like laboratories which he invites the audience to participate in. And that was just what we did!
Exhibition is part of the World Design Capital Helsinki 2012 program.
This time of the year is one of the high seasons for all kinds of corporate strategy days and half-year planning sessions and alike, and so did we have our agency autumn kick-off. As a smallish team we have often managed to find some exceptional and engrossing offsites for our team days, just like this time when we were honoured the luxury of visiting a magnificent privately owned villa in the beautiful archipelago of Porvoo. In between of admiring the amazing landscape and enjoying the extremely delicious servings, we took the time for developing our agency and the tightly knit family of us. As people of genuine believers in continuous development, we love to challenge ourselves everyday, in order to perpetually find new and better ways to fulfill our mission: to create powerful stories that touch people’s lives and help our clients achieve their goals. – Love. Story. Success.
After months of working on the marketing material we were proud to visit the Olympic Stadium last weekend for two very different football matches.
An exiting Friday evening saw the youthful Finnish team play France in their opening qualifying match for the World Cup 2014, in a great atmosphere it was just the one goal from French midfielder Diaby which was enough to defeat Pukki and the lads, but some good moments in the second half suggested that this young Suomi team could still bounce back in the coming fixtures.
On Saturday it was the turn of the past heroes and Finnish legends who played in a friendly match against an international team of their invited guests. A good humoured and light hearted game featuring Jari Litmanen and Sami Hyypiä amongst others playing in the first UEFA ‘Respect’ game of its kind in Finland to raise money for charity.
Good times..
This summer has really been a good one for all the football fans all over the world. The high season started from the Champions League final in late May and continued with the European Championships and, of course, Olympic Games in London.
On the first Friday of September we’ll have a very good chance to see great football here in Finland as well. Our national team, Huuhkajat, starts the WC2014 qualifiers with a game against France.
The very next day the Olympic Stadium will be filled by the Sankarit Stadionilla – Respect Game – a farewell match for so-called Golden Generation of Finnish footballers. At this unique family event Finnish football enthusiasts can once more see legends like Sami Hyypiä and Jari Litmanen playing together.
We are pleased to say that, together with Finnish FA and their partner companies, we’ve created all advertising activities for both of these games. And it seems that the tickets are selling very well, so be sure that you’ll get yours while you still can.
We recently started a series of projects with Martela, working with to them to build the strategy and identity for the Services side of the brand here in Finland, more of this work to be shared soon.
Here’s a few of the shots from the recent brand photo shoot with Juho Huttunen at duotone.fi and some stills from an animated promo for Martela Outlet aired throughout Flow Festival this summer.
Swimming in the nicely refreshing Baltic sea or one of the 187 888 lakes, having a good time together with friends and loved ones at summer cottage (there are approx. 500 000 of those in Finland, one in every ten people), enjoying endless days and bustling street life of Helsinki, hunting blueberries and mushrooms from the forests… Long sunny summer days together with relaxed and untroubled atmosphere really makes Finland the place to be in July! Although for some of us, it wasn’t that bad in Italy nor in South Africa, either! However, now it is time to put those things into an album of memories, roll up the sleeves and concentrate fully on work again. If you happen to suffer from post-vacation blues, pop in to our Töölönkatu office – we’ll cheer you up with a nice cup of extra strong espresso!
With these sunny and warm feelings from our delicious picnic lunch at the park of Töölönlahti just around the corner from our office, we wish all our clients and partners a beautiful summer time! Our office is closed for three weeks from Mon 9th to Fri 27th July, we’re back at the office on Mon 30th July, see you then again!
