We were asked by the Finnish Cancer Association to produce a simple and affordable campaign to teach young children about the harmful effects of the sun. Our response was to create a story book for parents to read to and educate their own kids, the short story featured a day trip by a family of Hippo-like characters. The youngest child Nillo has an unforgettable experience and the family together teach the importance of protecting your skin.
We recently completed the first half of the Luisa identity project, heres a glimpse of some of the materials produced all in the name of ‘good local food’.

Just a while ago we had a chance to get involved with groundbreaking new technology. Our longstanding client Nokia contacted us and asked if we could help them to demonstrate this all-new technology they had created through comparison to other smart phones. We created simple but convincing video only in couple weeks together with the film wizards from the Tre Films Ab.
Nokia Rich Recording technology enables professional quality audio recording with your mobile phone. At this point the feature is available on Nokia 808 PureView smart phone, which by the way won the “Best in Show” award in Mobile World Congress 2012 event held in Barcelona just couple weeks ago.

Video was used in MWC for demonstrating the Rich Recording feature on Nokia stand. Since the launch it has been also available in YouTube and shared by thousands of enthusiastic gadget fans around the world. So please find your headphones and hear the big difference.
By the way, the hot up-and-coming band in the video is called the Stockers:http://www.myspace.com/stockersband
We are very proud to announce that Touch has recently started a co-operation with Foorball Association of Finland.
Our goal is to raise the image of football in Finland and to make it more popular. And ofcourse, we want to fill up the home nest of the Huuhkajat, Helsinki Olympic Stadium, in the 2014 FIFA World Cup-qualifiers together with Finnish FA and other partners working hard for the best of Finnish football. One for all, all for eleven!
The first match day will be on 7th of September when our young and relentless squad challenges France – undoubtedly one of the best teams in the world! Shouldn’t you go and buy a ticket for yourself, too!
We wrote about our work with Luisa awhile ago in our blog. Well, the owner of Luisa, Ulla visited our office to cook us some awesomely delicious home-made delicacies! Ulla made us Ossobuco from elk and bovine with nice risotto, fried vegetables and freshly baked bread. To top that we had oven cheese made with first milk and berries as a dessert.

Last weekend we were in Cannes helping our great new client Music Kickstarter to launch a revolutionary service to public. The launch took place at MIDEM 2012, the world’s largest music industry trade fair, held annually in this little town in southern France.
To put it short, Music Kickstarter is the first cloud based record label, founded for the love of being an Artist and the music that they create. It is a unique community platform for musicians to create, collaborate, support and commercially publish, any and everything they create, while retaining all rights. Having a record deal can be as simple as creating a blog!
We strongly believe that Music Kickstarter’s unique business idea can change the whole music industry – and definitely for the better. For more information, please go to their website, or see the keynote we prepared with them here.
PS Sorry that you get this update a bit late: it certainly takes some time to recover if you have worked hard for 12 hours and had fun for 12 hours more. And done that for four days in a row!

We’re currently working on a lovely project for a new identity and visual look & feel for a countryside food company based in the area of Ruovesi. Luisa provides great tasting locally sourced organic food, with catering and courier services… Aslo soon to open their own shop.

Greetings from behind the mountains of snow. Meanwhile when the laborers are sweeping snow from our roof, we have comfortably settled down to our rebooted office environment. As you can see, this white box we are in is still under deveploment, but little by little we are getting there. We arranged a workshop day to re-paint the surfaces of the tables! Crafty!
And another news. UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) is going to held an European championship tournament for footballers under 19- years old in the year 2015. This tournament gathers the best players around Europe to compete. Finland has sent an application for hosting the tournament and the place to be would be around the Vaasa and Ostrobothnia regions. We were honoured to design the mascot for the tournament, which is inspired by the common weasel/marten theme in the Ostrobothnia arms. The bad-ass marten is wearing the traditional Jussi-shirt, which originates from Ostrobothnia, but instead of the original red and white colour, we switched the colours to blue and white. Anyways, check the facebook page for the tournament by clicking the mascot and see you soon!
Greetings & Happy New Year 2012 from Touch Helsinki! We’ve had an interesting start for this year. Due to a floor renovation we had to evacuate ourselves from Töölö to a temporary office space. But no worries! By the beginning of next week we are back, fully enjoying our upgraded office. So, long story short, we are intriqued to see what this year will fold for us. Hopefully great news more than bad ones. By the way, can you quess WHERE did we find shelter for this week?
Last thursday it was that time of the year again. Christmas party in Touch-style! This year we went to see an alternative circus performance called Euphoria by Salong Giraff at Suvilahti’s Cirko. We were happy to have Richard to join the celebration! The bizarre Swedish circus provided us with delicious food and gallons of wine.
We were given a delectable host of performances from flying acrobats to a mighty strongman and a surprise for our very own Ville! At some point during the show the loud Bette Midler look-a-like ringmaster took Ville (or Jimmy as she named him) onto the stage to be as her assistant for a special number. This wasn’t an easy task, having to first overcome the harsh trials of a musical chairs competition to become the only one standing.
The Touch crew proudly applauded when Ville defeated the other contestants to valiantly take the honour as the hosts assistant.
After Jimmy the Viking danced for the crowd and held flowers in his mouth while getting whipped, we continued the night in Helsinki city center till dawn!
Merry Christmas from Touch Helsinki!
